HAYDN: Keyboard Sonatas, vol. 1 Joanna Leach presents 3 of Haydn's finest sonatas and the F minor Variations in a rare opportunity to hear the music on instruments of the composer's time. These works are played on four square pianos of the time of composition namely a Stodart (c.1823), a Broadwood (1789), an Astor (c.1800) and a Longman & Broderip (1787). All the instruments were restored by Andrew Lancaster. |
