Ode Records was set up by Lou Adler in 1967, after he had sold his Dunhill label to ABC.Distributed by CBS until 1969 and after 1976 - and by A&M between those dates. It was deactivated several times, finally being re-launched through A&M in 1989 for only a month or two as Ode Sounds
