| RCA (VICTOR) (USA and UK) Full history to come - one of the earliest of all record labels, beginning as Berliner, and then being acquired by Eldridge Johnson who issued the 'improved Gramophone' Record which became Victor, America's prime label by some way. Bought by RCA in 1929 to become RCA Victor, and subsequently now a division of Sony Music Entertainment. In the UK, Vicotr masters were releases on HMV from 1900 to the mid 1950s, but then RCA moved to Decca UK which brought out the British RCA label in around 1956. Much more detail to come soon. |

| REPRISE (USA and UK) Reprise Records was founded by Frank Sinatra in 1960 when he left Capitol, mainly as a vehicle for his own recordings and those of 'rat-pack' buddies Dean Martin and Sammy Davis jnr. Sinatra sold out to Warner Bros in 1963 after whch Reprise grew to be one of the foremost rock and pop labels. |
